A Letter from our WCSA Director, Susan Pfister

On behalf of the Westport Center for Senior Activities, I am proud to announce that the Enhancement project has finished on time and under budget.  We held a very successful ribbon cutting ceremony on January 4 , attended by 250 persons.

I would like to thank First Selectman, Jim Marpe and Second Selectman Jennifer Tooker, all of the various Town boards and commissions that voted in support of this project, the Enhancement committee who oversaw the operation and had 100% contribution rate, to the Friends of the WCSA for running an extremely successful fundraising campaign, to all the donors who made financial contributions, to all Town employees and staff at the WCSA for your support over the past 8 ½ months and to all the Center’s participants for being understanding and flexible during the construction process.

I’d also like to recognize Brian Scheuzger from ARS Architecture for designing a well thought-out and tasteful expansion; to Sydney Worobel and Jim Bartram from A.P. Construction for managing a terrific project and to the team of consultants for sharing your expertise and for being so committed to the success of this project.

I’d love to have you tour this wonderful, newly enhanced and expanded facility and would welcome you to a guided tour.  If you’re interested, please do not hesitate to contact me directly at 203.341.5098.

Again, a heartfelt thank you to all involved in this project.
